Commissioner of Accounts

The Commissioner of Accounts is a quasi-judicial officer appointed by the Judges of the Circuit Court. The primary responsibility is to provide judicial oversight and supervision over the settlement of estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, and Trustee’s accounts of sale . The Commissioner ensures that fiduciaries (executors, administrators, trustees, and guardians) fulfill their legal obligations and account accurately for the assets under their control.
